Welcome
You're about to rewire how your business works.
That's not a small thing. If you're reading this, you've just signed with us — or you're about to. Either way, this handbook was written for you. Keep it open. You'll want to come back to it.
This isn't a software install
An ERPNext project isn't something you set up over a weekend and forget. It's a months-long rethink of how your business actually runs — which decisions get automated, which ones still need a person, who sees what data, and what your team is willing to change today to get something far better tomorrow.
The software? That's the easy part.
Everything else — the process changes, the buy-in, the honest conversations, the moments when an assumption turns out to be wrong — that's what this handbook is really about.
What good projects have in common
We've learned that the projects that go smoothly aren't the ones with the biggest budgets. They're the ones where three things are true from day one.
| # | Project Principle | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | A clear scope | Agreed on before anyone writes a single line of code — so there are no surprises later. |
| 02 | An empowered champion | Someone on your side with real authority to make decisions — not just availability. |
| 03 | Room to be wrong | A shared willingness to say "we got that wrong" in week six — without it becoming a crisis. |
The projects that wobbled didn't fail because of bad engineering. They failed because one of those three things was missing. Every single time.
What this handbook does
This is our attempt to make those three things the default — not the exception.
It tells you exactly how we'll show up, what we'll commit to in writing, and, just as importantly, what we'll ask of you in return. It's a two-way agreement written in plain language, not legal boilerplate. Read it once before kickoff. Skim the relevant chapter when something feels off. Share the parts that matter with your team leads.
A handbook is a promise written down, so it can't quietly drift away.
